Who is this blogger?
This blogger is…a mother of four young children who wants the world to be a better place for them to grow up in, and for everyone else while we´re at it! I hate the unending barrage of bad news, perversion, materialism and unsavory characters on television, in the newspapers and on line. I wanted to start a happy news newspaper, but hey…this is lots better because its a multi-way share!
So, I´m counting on you, but for what its worth, I´ll bring in my own insights based on where I´ve been. I´m a Connecticut native, with teenage years in the Arizona desert, a very fortunate but terribly tough year studying post-graduate in Montevideo, Uruguay on a Rotary Scholarship, with a Masters of International Management from Thunderbird, a ten year banking career (I will confess this because i never made bonuses that any of you could envy and I do think I did some good work) in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Buenos Aires, followed by some Investor Relations work out of Argentina, an on-and-off artist, a frustrated author of children’s books, and 12 years of 24-7 motherhood to four kids, lots of moves for the hubby’s job from Buenos Aires to Miami to Buenos Aires to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Buenos Aires and now to Madrid, Spain, where we are all happily installed for how ever long it´ll be. My kids are now almost 13, 10, 9 and 4, in school, and I´m ready to blog!
Oh, and in case you were wondering, why Goodoodles? Because iI wanted something that brought oodles of good. Then, in researching the name, I was delighted to find that in the very cool site, www.urbandictionary.com, that a “goodoodle” is “an extended form of good, used when friends ask each other what´s going on. Yo, my man, I haven´t seen you in a while, what´s goodoodles?” Cool. And that´s just the beginning.
