What am I doing here?

So, I’m officially a blogger!  I don’t know how it happened actually…just some kind of strange post-New-Year´s metamorphisis.  I actually feel different.  It began with elation at the idea of finally getting to share the main idea…

We need more happy news reported in the world!  Aren´t you getting sick of opening the newspaper, or turning on the tv, or opening up your home page and seeing all the misery?!  If you are, you´ve come to the right place!  Because, with determination and drive, I´m going to figure out this internet blogging thing and put together a site to share the happy stuff.  After all, isn´t it just as important, for example, that a family found its long lost dog unharmed after months of searching thanks to someone´s help, as that a convenience store was violently robbed?  Coverage of the bad stuff abounds…and I´m not saying we don´t need to know about it…we do!  But, let´s give some air space or web space to the good stuff!   Anybody agree?

So, concluding my first blog entry (I can´t believe I´ve actually started!), following  the elation and the trepidation of what i´m doing in this unknown somewhat less-than-user-friendly internet universe, I found my way to being raring to go…all thanks to some very understanding and helpful guidance by the GoDaddy customer service team.  Yay!  Thanks, guys!  Glitches will abound but, here we go…

What a positive way to counteract all of the negative things we’re exposed to every day, querida April. I will continue to accompany you on this journey. Now that we are living on the same continent, I just might have to fly to Madrid for a weekend. A trip to Sevilla is already in the works for September.

    Feliz ano nuevo!

Hey April! I thought I should drop a message to say hi! I love your positive energy – it’s exuding everywhere on this site! For sure, the world definitely can benefit a whole lot with positive news rather than the consciousness lowering ones that keep streaming on television. Keep up the fantastic work you are doing here! :)

Thanks, Celes, for your making-it-all-worthwhile comment and for your site which has so much helpful guidance and info. Its blogrolled, but for those of you who haven’t checked it out, see http://celestinechua.com/blog/—the title and byline say it all. “The Personal Excellence Blog. Be your best self, live your best life. I found your article about parting ways with your best friend of 10 years so interesting, painful but it happens, and your take on it all will undoubtedly help people who are or must go through that sad process. Thanks for it and all the ones to come! April

I received a comment from Michael today. I had trouble linking to his blogspot and I worried about protecting my infant blog from hacking and viruses. So, Michael, if it was a mistype, I’m so sorry, but I finally found you and know you weren’t a hacker!!

Unfortunately, in my worry, I deleted the comment, but not the content because it was so lovely and I wanted to share it. Here is what Michael wrote, “I have stood under 1000 year old trees before. And it made me feel really small until a thought entered my mind, maybe this tree has stood for 1000 years to meet me. Maybe this tree stood for so long so that I could behold its magnificence. All of the creation waits for your arrival so that all the creation can be complete and perfect at that very moment. Thanks for stopping by, I am what I am.” Thanks again, Michael.
